Couple questions about this controller. I am essentially thinking about using this to control programmable indicator lighting in an industrial application. I'm in the prototyping stage, but hope to use something that is relatively off-the-shelf.

1. The equipment I am working with uses an industrial PC with serial control capability (proprietary software). There is a 24VDC power supply on the system.

- As it comes in the kit, can the controller be driven with 24VDC? I would be using 24VDC LED strips

2. Is it I/O capable? Meaning, if I am able to create appropriate commands in the software (windows 7 embedded is the OS) will it accept them, or must it use an arduino? My concern here is integration into the machine system.
